Anti Microbial Coating
The Recycle Bin Company have developed, in conjunction with leading industry experts, an antimicrobial coating offering a total surface hygiene system that is safe and long lasting. The silver ion based protection agent is added to the powder coating during manufacture and contains no active chemical agents. Silver, which has been recognized as having antibacterial properties for centuries, inhibits the growth of many bacteria and microorganisms (such as MRSA), meaning that they cannot live and breed on protected surfaces. As a biocide, the silver based ions will last the lifetime of the product and will continue to interrupt a cell’s ability to function, grow or reproduce. Of course, such coatings should always be used in conjunction with industry standard hygiene and cleaning practices to further reduce any risk of cross contamination.
